Almost 500 children from the Belgorod region rested this fall in Evpatoria, in the “Luchisty” camp
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The seventh shift at the children’s camp «Luchisty», which is part of the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Crimea State Unitary Enterprise «Solnechnaya Tavrika» in Evpatoria, accepted 494 children from Belgorod and the Belgorod region. Children participated in hobby groups, competitions, shows, physical education competitions, and small Olympic games. We worked with them in psychological circles, conducted trainings, conversations, and consultations. In total, 3,126 children spent time at the camp during the holiday season. Of these, 980 are from the Belgorod region, as well as children from the Kherson region, DPR and LPR.
As noted by the director of the State Unitary Enterprise «Solnechnaya Tavrika» Lyudmila Ermakova, in total, the children’s health camps of the State Unitary Enterprise «Solnechnaya Tavrika» — «Cypress» in Alushta, «Luchisty» in Evpatoria, «Dolphin» in Peschanoe and the sanatorium «Druzhba» in Evpatoria this year accepted 12 500 children, while in 2023 10,468 children were admitted.
These are children from the Republic of Crimea, as well as from the DPR, Belgorod region, LPR, Sevastopol, Moscow and the Moscow region, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The greatest reward is when every child, even before leaving the camp, dreams of returning again and again. This is especially true for children from border regions. We understand how difficult it is for them to adapt to the situation, so we are making every effort to ensure that their holiday in Crimea leaves only the best memories— said Lyudmila Ermakova.
To get children interested in sports and develop an interest in physical education, health camps made full use of their infrastructure: football fields, basketball and volleyball courts, children’s sports equipment, indoor gyms, beach areas and swimming pools. The recreational facilities hosted fun starts, small Olympic games, volleyball and basketball competitions, sports competitions, football tournaments, table tennis competitions, chess and checkers tournaments, team outdoor games and much more. The children were provided with all kinds of art, dance, literary and vocal studios, video clip production studios, clubs and master classes.
During the shifts, much attention was paid not only to revealing the creative potential of each child, but also to the military-patriotic education of children, at the same time, the children were freed from the stress accumulated during the school year and gained new life experience.
Our plans include improving the infrastructure for receiving children, working on personnel issues together with student groups, universities and colleges, training counselors, and creating a full range of services for the health and entertainment of children. True professionals work here, dedicated to their work for many years.,” noted the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Ganziy.
