During the summer period of this year (and the summer is not over yet, and September in the Crimea is the “velvet” swimming season), the GIMS Center of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia recorded 35 incidents on the water. Unfortunately, 28 people died. They all bathed in forbidden places. Another fact — 90% of the dead were in a state of intoxication.
On the equipped beaches of the peninsula, Crimean rescuers provided timely assistance to vacationers. 18 lives saved as a result of their workthe emergency department said.
In order to prevent the death of people, the inspectors of the GIMS Center conducted more than 700 patrols of the coastline of the peninsula.
215 protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up. Basically, navigators violate the rules for ensuring the safety of people along the route, provided for in Article 11.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
