Almost one and a half hundred ammunition was destroyed in one day by pyrotechnics of the Ministry of Emergency Situations at a training ground in Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On April 11, in the Leninsky district and on the territory of Big Alushta, pyrotechnicians of the Special Marine Detachment and the Specialized Detachment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea carried out an operation to neutralize explosive objects from the Great Patriotic War.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia discovered and identified explosive objects: in the Alushta municipality, village. Vinogradnoe, in open area: F — 1 — 2 units; in Leninsky district, 1 km from the village. Uvarovo, in open area: RGD — 33 — 29 units, F — 1 — 5 units, MM — 50 mm — 3 units, AC — 45 mm — 87 units, AC — 76 mm — 2 units, RPG — 40 — 1 unit; in the Leninsky district, 1.5 km east of the village. Uvarovo, in the open area: FAB — 50 — 1 unit, AS — 45 mm — 2 units, RGD — 33 — 7 units, MM — 50 mm — 1 unit, AC — 20 mm — 3 units; in Leninsky district, village. Bondarenkovo, in open area: MM — 82 mm — 1 unit.

Explosive items were removed, transported and destroyed at a special site. Pyrotechnic decontamination works were carried out in compliance with all necessary safety measures— reported the emergency department.

In total, 12 personnel and 4 pieces of equipment were involved in pyrotechnic work to neutralize explosive objects from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea reminds that it is extremely important to strictly follow the rules of action when detecting objects resembling explosives:

— quickly and carefully move away from the object to a safe distance;

— warn others about a dangerous find;

— immediately report a dangerous find to the police (by phone “102”) and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (by phone “101” or “112”);

— if possible, wait for the arrival of officials and indicate to them the location of the explosive object.

Prohibited:

— touch and move explosive objects from their place;

— roll them from place to place;

— make attempts to remove them from the water.
