Alupka: The Museum of Twice Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan is 30 years old

On November 15, in Alupka, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, a round table was held dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the creation of the museum of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan.
Over the years, from a small room in the Alupka House of Culture, the museum has grown into a full-fledged historical and educational institution — an integral part of the Crimean Tatar Museum of Cultural and Historical Heritage. There is not only a permanent exhibition about our legendary fellow countryman, but also regular meetings with schoolchildren, conferences, and many other events. The museum lives and develops. With all my heart I wish him prosperity, and peace and goodness to his employees“, — wrote the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, in her address to the participants of the round table and wished everyone fruitful work.
The round table was organized by the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Crimean Tatar Museum of Cultural and Historical Heritage», a structural unit of which is the Amet-Khan Sultan Museum in Alupka. Scientists-historians, museum researchers, colleagues from the Yalta Historical and Literary Museum, and young researchers studying the life path of Amet-Khan Sultan were invited to the event.
The director of the Crimean Tatar Museum of Cultural and Historical Heritage, Safie Eminova, spoke about the development of the museum over the past 30 years, the formation of a collection that contains unique and original exhibits, ongoing exhibitions, events, and prospects for the further development of the institution. She also expressed special words of gratitude to the museum staff for their contribution to the preservation and development of cultural and historical heritage and popularization of the institution’s activities.
On behalf of the Minister of Culture of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina, the employees were congratulated by her first deputy Olga Burova. She also presented the head of the museum, Tefida Useinovna Mukhterem, with the Gratitude of the Head of the Republic of Crimea. First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Interethnic Relations of the Republic of Crimea, Ruslan Yakubov, in his speech, noted the significant contribution to the preservation and study of the rich multinational cultural heritage of Crimea, congratulated the museum staff and also presented letters of gratitude. Deputy Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea Alexander Dyachenko addressed many warm words to the employees.
From the leadership of Yalta, the round table participants were greeted by the deputy head of the Yalta administration Zhanna Kislitsa, the deputy chairman of the Yalta city council Denis Davydov, the head of the culture department Irina Grishko, the head of the Alupka territorial body Olga Litvinova. They also congratulated the team on the anniversary, and Zhanna Kislitsa presented the head of the museum, Tefida Useinovna Mukhterem, with a valuable gift — the watch of the head of the Yalta administration. Also from colleagues from the Yalta Historical and Literary Museum, the staff of the Amet-Khan Sultan Museum was congratulated by the Deputy Director of YaILM Nadezhda Nikitina. The round table continued with presentations by leading Crimean scientists, pedagogical and museum workers, as well as guests from Dagestan, where the father of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan was from.
