The Crimean Prosecutor’s Office has organized an investigation into a fire at an inactive solid waste landfill in the city of Feodosia.
The municipal services are carrying out measures to eliminate fire sources. During the organized supervisory measures, an assessment will be made of compliance with the requirements of the legislation in the placement and removal of municipal waste. If there are grounds, response measures will be takenthe supervisory authority reported.
Firefighters managed to localize the fire within 24 hours on an area of 250 square meters. But the fire at the abandoned landfill has not yet been completely extinguished.
