The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds drivers: in accordance with the Rules of the Road, pedestrians, when crossing the carriageway, have an advantage over vehicles at pedestrian crossings marked with markings and signs. When approaching an unregulated pedestrian crossing, the driver must slow down and, if necessary, stop to allow pedestrians to pass and allow them to safely complete the road crossing. You should be extremely careful near educational and medical institutions.

Also, the Rules of the Road for pedestrians define the requirement to enter the carriageway in order to cross it, only after first assessing the distance to approaching vehicles, their speed and making sure that the crossing is completely safe.

Police officers appeal to residents and guests of the city with an appeal not to remain indifferent to road safety problems.
