An art exhibition #TOGETHER was presented in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Sevastopol regional branch of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia opened the exhibition #TOGETHER. The exposition is presented at the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after A. V. Lunacharsky. Visitors will see more than 30 works made in various techniques: pastel, oil, watercolor, graphics, charcoal. These are portraits of the wives and children of participants in a special military operation, female servicemen, as well as those whose husbands and fathers died while fulfilling the duty of defending the Motherland. Sevastopol and Crimean artists painted portraits for several months.
The exhibition of paintings #TOGETHER was organized to reflect the important role of the wives and children of military personnel, members of the NWO and women in the military. We know that members of the military and their loved ones have experiences associated with military service. These paintings aim to reflect their strength, courage and devotion, as well as convey their emotions and stories through art. We can say with confidence that our women make a huge contribution to the defense of our country both on the front line and in the rear. Your courage and faith certainly deserve respect.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of culture, Angela Sumakova.
The exhibition presents the works of artists of the regional branch of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia Vladimir Novikov, Daria Shchukina, Ksenia Prokhorova, Tatiana Lahonina, Ekaterina Luganskaya, as well as the Simferopol artist Evgenia Lyubarskaya.
The name of our exhibition #TOGETHER is what is happening in our hearts now, what our Motherland lives today. We realized that we cannot now paint landscapes, our endless sea, we want to express our words of support through painting. I would like that, looking into the eyes of our heroines, we all experience a sense of unity, — says the artist Daria Shchukina.
Honored Artists of Russia Olga Pankratova and Yulia Panova, poet Alexei Fomenko, poetess Maria Batyukhno pleased the guests with their performance at the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition of paintings can be seen by visitors to the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after A. V. Lunacharsky before the start of the performance or during the intermission. The exhibition will run until July 24.
