An eco-technopark is being built in the Belogorsk region. Capacity — up to 500 thousand tons of MSW per year
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The work is being carried out within the framework of the federal project “Integrated system for the management of municipal solid waste” of the national project “Ecology”. The facility’s capacity will be 500 thousand tons of solid municipal waste per year, which will allow it to accept and sort waste from Simferopol, Simferopol and Belogorsk districts and six other municipalities. In addition, the complex will select and accumulate secondary material resources, composting the organic fraction to obtain technical soil.
Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the importance of timely completion of construction.
We must complete construction on time and put the facility into operation. This will contribute to the fulfillment of the task set by the Presidential Decree. Let me remind you that by 2030 it is necessary to ensure complete sorting of MSW in the country, reduce their landfill disposal by half and involve at least a quarter of the total waste into recycling, – said the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
In turn, Sergei Aksenov emphasized that all measures are being taken to prevent failure to meet the established construction deadlines.
We will reorganize the process in such a way that no emergency situations can affect the schedule. Currently, the contractor employs about 220 specialists daily, and has established direct contact with equipment manufacturers. At the beginning of 2025, the necessary materials will be purchased within the limits in order to prevent the cost of the facility from rising. We plan to commission an eco-technopark in the Belogorsky district and another such complex in the Saki district in mid-2025. We will bring the eco-technopark in the Leninsky district into compliance by the end of next year, – said the Head of Crimea and added that work is also underway in the republic to reclaim existing MSW landfills.
According to Sergei Aksenov, in Crimea, solving environmental problems is one of the priorities of the authorities.
At the same time, new eco-technoparks will help not only improve the environmental situation, but also increase the comfort and attractiveness of the republic for residents and tourists. I thank President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin for supporting these projects. Thanks to Dmitry Nikolaevich Patrushev and Denis Petrovich Butsaev for assistance in their implementation, – the Head of the Republic expressed his gratitude.
The event was attended by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk.
