An educational cluster “Professionalism in the Hospitality Industry” has been created in Crimea

In 2024, an educational cluster “Professionalism of the Hospitality Industry” was created in Crimea for the leading industry — tourism and the service sector. According to the Republican Ministry of Education, it includes: Romanovsky College of Hospitality Industry (cluster core), 3 network educational organizations — Crimean College of Catering and Trade, Simferopol College of Service and Design and Evpatoria College of Construction Technologies and Service Industry.
The main employer-partners of the cluster are 35 enterprises and 4 public organizations. Supporting employers include: Mriya Resort & SPA hotel; International Children’s Center «Artek»; JSC «Krymhleb»; Youth all-Russian public organization “Russian Student Teams”.
The strategic goal of the cluster is to solve the problem of personnel shortage. It is based on a new model of cooperation between institutions of secondary vocational education and enterprises in the real sector of the economy and is aimed at creating an effective system for training highly qualified personnel— reported the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Crimea.
As part of the creation of the cluster, renovation work began in colleges. Upon completion, new branded educational spaces will operate with the most modern equipment that meets the requirements of leading hospitality industry enterprises.
