An educational road train “Russia is my history” opened in Sevastopol: how to visit the exhibition

A unique road train “Russia is my history” began operating in Sevastopol. Thanks to digital reconstructions and interactive shows, residents and visitors of the city can get acquainted with the thousand-year history of Russia and “meet” the people who made it. Visiting the road train is free, but requires prior reservation.
According to Tourist portal of Crimeaon National Unity Day on Nakhimov Square in Sevastopol, the first mobile educational complex, the road train “Russia is my history,” opened its doors to visitors. This unique object was created on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin by the Humanitarian Projects Foundation and with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
The road train has already visited Moscow, Torez in the DPR and Genicheskaya Gorka in the Kherson region, where it received more than 40 thousand visitors. Sevastopol became a new point on the route of a unique object.
With the help of interactive reconstructions and shows, guests of the complex can learn about the thousand-year history of Russia and even “communicate” with digital twins of the country’s main historical figures.
A separate part of the exhibition is dedicated to Crimea. Direct participants in those events — Empress Catherine II and Prince Grigory Potemkin — tell about its annexation to Russia in the 18th century and the emergence of the greatness of our state. It was the first who ordered the founding of the fortress of Sevastopol — the future main seaport in the south of the Russian Empire.
The road train also houses a mobile career guidance center “Russia – My Horizons”, which includes materials from the all-Russian project “Ticket to the Future”. It is especially interesting for children here. After all, they can get acquainted with various professions — thanks to interactive simulators, for example, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, milling and lathe. The center even has a mini version of the water supply and sewerage system. In addition, a master class “History for the little ones” was organized for young visitors. This is a fascinating lesson into the world of the past, where children will learn what Sevastopol used to look like, who lived in it, how they dressed, what they ate and what our distant ancestors believed. The event is available to children from 3 years old. And guests aged 14 years and older can attend an acting master class. During the class, they will learn important nuances of the acting profession and master skills that can be useful not only on stage, but also in everyday life: how to confidently behave in public, work in a teamsaid the organizers.
The road train will operate on Nakhimov Square in November and December. Excursions for organized groups of schoolchildren are conducted from Monday to Friday at 9:00, 11:00 and 14:00, for others — on weekdays at 17:00, on Saturday and Sunday at 9:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 16:00.
