An embankment named after Tereshkova was opened in Yevpatoria. Long renovation completed

On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the return of Crimea to Russia, the embankment named after them opened in Yevpatoria after a major renovation. Valentina Tereshkova.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, together with the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, visited the site. The leadership of the Republic was accompanied by the head of the city of Yevpatoria, the chairman of the city council Emilia Leonova, and the acting head of the administration Ivan Prosoedov.
Currently, construction and installation work has been completed in full.
For the residents of Evpatoria, this is a significant object, the reconstruction of which, unfortunately, dragged on for several years. Now it is a modern public space with a musical fountain, monuments, children’s play areas, and equipped beaches. Congratulations to the residents of Evpatoria on the long-awaited event,” noted Vladimir Konstantinov.
All components of the embankment parts are connected with each other not only aesthetically, but also functionally.
As part of the improvement, work was carried out to install hydraulic structures, namely two artificial capes with observation platforms.
In order to protect the coast from the destructive effects of waves, three deep-water breakwaters (islands) were built. Work has been carried out to install wave-breaking parapets made of polished natural granite stone.
A sculptural composition depicting the main characters of Boris Balter’s story “Goodbye, Boys” was also installed.
A large light and music fountain was created in the central part of the promenade area, which in turn is made of natural granite two-color coating with inlaid patterns.
Also, reconstruction of the park named after. Karaev, where work was carried out on the construction of pedestrian paths, a children’s playground and recreation areas in a single architectural ensemble with the embankment, for a comfortable pastime and relaxation.
Work has been carried out to plant green spaces and install lawns with an automatic watering system. There is a beach area with a width of 20 to 50 meters for relaxation and swimming for residents and guests of the city.
