An emergency hospital and a new cancer clinic building are being built in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev held an offsite meeting at the construction site of the medical cluster. An emergency hospital and a diagnostic and treatment building for an oncology clinic are currently being built on Kamyshov Highway.

The work is being carried out within the framework of the state program for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The customer is the Unified Directorate of Capital Construction, the general contractor is RT-SotsStroy LLC. Previously, on behalf of the governor, a headquarters was created at the construction site, which included representatives of the contractor, EDKS, resource supply organizations, Sevgosstroynadzor and Roskapstroy.

The work has significantly picked up pace and is progressing according to schedule. Now the priority task is to finally agree on the list of medical equipment that will be installed in both hospitals. It is no secret that part of the project’s high-tech equipment was planned to be purchased, including from those countries that had stopped supplying their products to Russia. An alternative has been found, but the dimensions of the equipment may also change, which means that the design solutions of some premises at the facilities may need to be adjusted,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.

During March, the builders completed all the planned volumes of work. The governor emphasized that by the end of this year all major work should be completed:

By December, the thermal circuit of both buildings should be closed. After this, the builders will move on to finishing work and installation of equipment, — concluded the head of the city.

As previously reported, both medical institutions will include five buildings. The emergency hospital has a capacity of 470 beds and 200 visits per shift. Its structure will include an admissions department, a diagnostic unit, an operating unit, a hospital unit, a laboratory unit with auxiliary services and a catering unit. The oncology clinic has a capacity of 150 beds and 100 visits per shift. The medical facility has diagnostic and operating departments, a cytology laboratory, a pharmacy and a catering department.
