An employee of one of the Sevastopol universities was found guilty of a corruption crime by a court

The evidence collected by the investigative department for the Leninsky district of the city of Sevastopol of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was recognized by the court as sufficient for a guilty verdict against an employee of the department of one of the Sevastopol universities. She was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery).

The investigation and the court established that in December 2021 the head of the department received 30 thousand rubles from the defendant, who at that time was his subordinate (Department Engineer), who acted as an intermediary in the transfer of funds from the student, for the closure of examination debts.

The criminal actions of the university employees were suppressed by employees of the UEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol and the Service in the city of Sevastopol of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol , the Investigative Committee reported.

The court, taking into account the evidence collected by the investigation and based on the results of the trial, came to the conclusion that the defendant was guilty, imposing a penalty on her in the form of a fine in the amount of 300 thousand rubles.

Currently, a criminal case against a teacher accused of taking bribes is pending in court.
