The Sudak Fortress Museum-Reserve hosted a volunteer environmental action «Green Sugdea», aimed at drawing attention to the protection of cultural heritage and the environment.
The participants of the action were members of the volunteer corps of the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky under the guidance of the chief specialist of the department for work with student associations and the implementation of youth projects of the Department for social and educational work Galina Markova— the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea reports.
The director of the museum-reserve Svetlana Yemets greeted the participants of the action, thanking the children for their initiative and attention to the unique monument of history and architecture, emphasizing the special significance of the event.
Volunteers cleaned the grass and trimmed the bushes at the archaeological site «Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary». In the end, the participants of the action got acquainted with the medieval city in detail during an educational excursion.
