An ex-official of the Krymenergo enterprise will appear in court. Responsible for bribes

The investigation of the criminal case against the former head of the department for operation and repair of metering devices of the Krymenergo structural unit has been completed. She is accused of receiving bribes for facilitating, by virtue of her official position, actions in favor of persons represented by the bribe-giver in a significant amount (Part 2 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

It was established that in the summer of 2023, the head of the department was approached by intermediaries who planned to make a profit by providing paid services to citizens for installing electrical appliances in a short time. For speeding up the procedure for testing metering devices for consumed electricity, an official of Krymenergo received a monetary reward, indicating the fee for electricity meters and separately for current transformer meters— said the Investigative Committee.

As a result of illegal actions, the head of the department received almost 300 thousand rubles from citizens for the accelerated connection of metering devices.

The criminal activities of the official were identified by employees of the Economic Security and Internal Affairs Ministry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea. A significant amount of investigative work and examinations was carried out, and all the necessary evidence was collected. The accused pleaded guilty to the crime— reported in Sledkom.

The investigation has now been completed. The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits. Criminal cases against bribers were also previously sent to court.
