An example not to follow from a resident of the Kirov region of Crimea: how to exchange a BMW for a bottle

A 43-year-old resident of the Kirov region of Crimea was found guilty by the court under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act).

The convict, having been brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself, and in December 2023, after drinking alcohol, he again began driving a BMW car. Moving along one of the streets in the city of Old Crimea, a man was stopped by traffic police officers.— said the prosecutor’s office.

The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 200 hours of compulsory labor with deprivation of the right to drive all types of vehicles for a period of 2 years.

A BMW car belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state.
