An exhibition about the most little-studied peoples of the Crimea — the Tauris is presented in Bakhchisarai

In Bakhchisarai, in the museum of the history and culture of the Crimean Tatars in the building of the Zyndzhirly madrasah, the exhibition «From Taurica to Crimea through the centuries» is available for visiting until the end of August. The ideological inspirer of the exhibition project is the head of the Sevastopol Foundation for the Revival of the Crimean Tatar Culture named after Professor S.O. Izidinov” by Venera Kurmaeva, who, together with a team of enthusiastic enthusiasts, collected and processed material about one of the most poorly studied peoples of Crimea — the Tauris.
The NGO project was twice supported by the Presidential Grants Fund. In the process of research work, members of the organization and participants in numerous master classes recreated household items of the Taurians: ceramic dishes and clothes; photo reproductions, replicas of jewelry and ritual objects were created, which became exposition complexes and stands for visual study, replenishment of knowledge about the ancient history of Crimea.
The exhibition also presents original museum items from the funds of the Bakhchisaray Museum-Reserve: fragments of grain graters, a bronze ax, ceramic goblets and fragments with ornaments, beads and cowrie shells.
During the opening of the exhibition, the significance of the event was emphasized by the head of the Museum of the History and Culture of the Crimean Tatars Meriem Seytumerova, who drew attention to the importance of developing cooperation between museums, scientists and public organizations in order to preserve cultural heritage and study ethnic history Crimea
