With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, on August 15 at 15:00 in the chamber Museum of I.S. Shmelev in the Professor’s Corner of Alushta, the exhibition «Chekhov. Criticism» will open. The new exhibition project will introduce guests to Chekhov the literary and theatrical critic, and will also allow them to see the critical reviews that the writer received. It is interesting that some saw him as a modern genius, while others saw him as a simple author.
The exhibition will be based on artifacts from the collections of the Crimean Literary and Artistic Memorial Museum-Reserve and the Alushta Literary and Memorial Museum of S.N. Sergeyev-Tsensky. The display cases will feature books and documents from Chekhov’s personal library, original photographs, copies of censorship sheets, critical reviews, and much more.
The exhibition «Chekhov. Criticism» will be open until September 13, according to the schedule of the Museum of the writer I.S. Shmelev.
