CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the basis of the department-museum of normal anatomy of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the Medical Institute of the Crimean Federal University, the grand opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Crimean War of 1853-1856 took place. It is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the start of the Crimean War. Vladimir Konstantinov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, took part in the opening of the exhibition.
Knowledge of history enriches a person, it gives incredible life wisdom. It helps in assessing the events that are happening in your life and the world around you. It is especially important for future doctors to know the history of the Crimean War — this is our tragedy, the struggle for the Fatherland and the life of every soldier. Everything that arose then in the medical field is unique, is the Crimean pride and world heritage. I really liked this exhibition, it will be interesting for students, because it is important and useful for everyone to know— quotes the press service of the university Vladimir Konstantinov.
Each booth of the exhibition is dedicated to a specific topic: medical support for the troops of the Russian army during the Crimean War, the struggle for the lives of the wounded and sick soldiers, the contribution of the outstanding surgeon Nikolai Pirogov to the development of medical traditions, sisters of mercy and compassionate widows. The exhibition also presents modern mobile medical devices that are already being used on the battlefield during a special military operation.
Here we have collected a large number of paintings, various manuals, dummies, sculptures. There are also anatomical preparations that have remained with us since ancient times. It is symbolic to see modern medical equipment here, which helps to treat our soldiers and helps to save the lives of our soldiers. Of course, it is symbolic that after many centuries medicine still remains a priority and stands guard over both our population and the defenders of our Fatherland., — notes the director of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the Medical Institute. S. I. Georgievsky KFU. V. I. Vernadsky Evgeny Krutikov.
According to him, the base of the Department of Normal Anatomy for the exhibition was not chosen by chance, because earlier there was a hospital building for the wounded, in which the outstanding surgeon Nikolai Pirogov treated Russian soldiers during the Crimean War. The exhibition is organized by the Committee for Health, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea. She will work during the week.
