An exhibition of Alexander Prusakov was opened at the Simferopol Art Museum for International Artist Day

In the Crimean Hall of the Simferopol Art Museum, an exhibition of Simferopol artist Alexander Prusakov, dedicated to International Artist Day, began work.
The exhibition presents a retrospective of more than forty years of the author’s work in 18 paintings and graphic works, from the watercolor “Chatyrdag” (1979) to the mixed media work “Symfi. On the «Cross». The wind will soon rise» (2023).
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Director of the Simferopol Art Museum Svetlana Glazunova, the Director of the Museum of the History of the City of Simferopol Irina Vdovichenko, colleagues from the Central Museum of Taurida, local historians, artists and journalists.

REFERENCE: Alexander Anatolyevich Prusakov (born August 13, 1960 in Simferopol) is a graphic artist, animal painter and illustrator. In 1979 — 1982 he studied at the studios of L.V. Volonchuk, A.T. Grigorieva. He took lessons in painting, drawing and composition from A.V. Ivanchenko, V.P. Skoda. In 1982 he graduated from Simferopol State University. M.V. Frunze (Faculty of Natural Sciences). Since 1979 he has been engaged in book and animal graphics. Works for printing — since 1981. Illustrator, art editor, designer of about 200 books. Author-compiler of the book “Crimea: Book of Records” (Simferopol, 1999), for which he was awarded the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (1999). Author and co-author of scientific and popular science articles on zoology, history of science and museology. Participant of 40 art exhibitions, including 7 personal ones. Currently holds the position of senior researcher at the Central Museum of Taurida.
