CrimeaPRESS reports:
An exhibition of paintings and drawings by Crimean artists opened at the Palace of Count MS Vorontsov in the Botanical Garden of the Crimean Federal University. It presents about forty plein air works depicting the botanical garden in the spring.
The Crimean Federal University and the Crimean branch of the Union of Artists of Russia signed a cooperation agreement. As part of the agreement, the artists went to the open air in our Botanical Garden. Now we see the result of the joint work of landscape architects and artists. We believe that this is the first exhibition in a series of a large number of them., — quotes the press service of the director of the Botanical Garden. N. V. Bagrova KFU Anna Repetskaya.
The exhibition was organized as part of the Blooming Garden project, timed to coincide with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the KFU Botanical Garden. It will be possible to admire the spring works for approximately two months.
As part of the project, we want to show the flowering of the Botanical Garden at different times of the year. Starting in April, the artists went out into the garden and painted their paintings. This project will last throughout the year. We will paint the garden in summer, autumn and winter, reflecting its state— notes a member of the KRO VTOO «Union of Artists of Russia» Maria Shevchuk.
The next exhibition is scheduled for autumn. It will present the works made during the summer plein-airs.
