An exhibition of Sergei Berlov was opened in Sevastopol for the Day of National Unity
CrimeaPRESS reports:
An exhibition dedicated to National Unity Day has opened at the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts. This is a personal exhibition of the Honored Artist of Sevastopol Sergei Berlov. A total of 31 works are presented, most of which are being exhibited for the first time. The paintings depict temples of Sevastopol and all of Russia.
I am very glad to take part in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the great holiday. I am proud that in the Hero City there are artists like Sergei Berlov. His paintings reflect our history. They convey the spirit of Sevastopol — the center of moral and patriotic education in Russia— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Inna Goncharova, deputy of the Legislative Assembly, head of the regional public reception office D. A. Medvedev.
One of the key exhibits was a recently completed painting on a historical theme: “The Arrival of the Byzantine Princess Anna in Korsun to Prince Vladimir.”
For me, this exhibition is significant, as is the holiday itself to which it is dedicated. The Baptism of Rus’, I believe, united our people, raised a single nation, while preserving different religions. And now it is our country that bears the true principles of life. It seems to me that Russia is the Ark on which all humanity will be saved, – notes Sergei Berlov.
