The Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Sevastopol provides supervisory support for the execution of the state contract for the construction of an indoor skating rink with artificial ice at the intersection of General Melnik and Laboratory Highway. Construction is being carried out under a contract concluded in 2020 between Construction and Asgard LLC as part of the implementation of the state program “Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.” The work must be completed by December 30, 2023. The cost of the facility exceeds 1.1 billion rubles.

In October 2023, employees of the city prosecutor’s office and the Nakhimovsky district prosecutor’s office, with the participation of heads of the Department of Capital Construction, the Office for the Implementation of the Federal Target Program for the Development of the City of Sevastopol, specialists from the federal treasury, Sevgosstroynadzor and representatives of the contractor, inspected the construction site. It has been established that at the moment, based on the work completion certificates presented by the contractor, construction readiness is 21.5%. The low pace of construction creates a threat of violation of the deadline for fulfilling the government contract. In this regard, during a visit to the construction site, the district prosecutor’s office warned the head of the contract that violations of the law were unacceptable. Currently, the prosecutor’s office continues to verify compliance with the requirements of urban planning legislation and legislation on the contract system in the field of procurement for this facility. Based on the results of the inspection, the need to take additional prosecutorial response measures will be considered. The progress of the implementation of the state program “Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol” remains under the control of the prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol, — reported the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
