An illustrated edition of works by artists from Donbass and Crimea was presented in Donetsk
CrimeaPRESS reports:
This is our very big project, which brings us all closer together. We united Crimea, DPR and LPR in it. Donbass artists have been in their information space for a long time, now they have already seen what is happening in other regions of the country, began to exchange experiences, and began to come to us for plein airs. We present a book with works by artists from these regions in the year that marks the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia,” Marina Rogatovskaya, executive director of the Union of Artists of Russia, told TASS.
The event took place at the House of Artists. About two dozen creative figures gathered, including the creators of works published in the publication. One of the authors of the book, Donetsk art critic Anait Agabekyan explained that the presentation was the result of a project of the same name, which has been carried out by the Union of Artists of Russia since the fall of 2023 together with regional branches. Among the events were plein airs in Crimea and the Tver region, as well as exhibitions in Moscow and Simferopol.
The book tells about the work of artists of Donbass and Crimea, the history of regional branches of the Union of Artists of Russia. It has about 500 pages. Pilot samples were presented today. The main circulation is in print; in July, hundreds of copies of the publication will be transferred to the DPR, LPR and Crimea. The project was implemented with grant support from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
