An instructive story about an unprincipled Crimean, someone else’s passport and bank card
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Razdolnensky district of Crimea, a local resident contacted the police and reported that his bank card was blocked, and his account was linked to another phone number. More than 25 thousand rubles were written off from the man (without his knowledge!).
As a result of operational-search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, in collaboration with colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Razdolnensky, found out that the attacker had been on the federal wanted list since 2014 for committing a series of thefts in the Razdolnensky district. In January 2023, he stole a passport his relative, after which he went to live in the city of Simferopol. There, using someone else’s document, he got a job as a security guard.
The defendant needed a salary card, so he contacted the bank to issue it. The financial institution informed him that there was already an open card in his name. The man asked for a new one, allegedly due to the loss of the previous one, and began spending money from his relative’s account.— the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea reported details.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant has been detained.
