An Internet extremist was detained in Sevastopol. Everything is serious — the «sofa fighter» faces a real term

A man was detained in Sevastopol for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and for calling for extremist activities.
Employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol and operatives of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, with the power support of the fighters of the Korsun special platoon of the PPSP named after. Buzin detained a local resident who carried out illegal activities of an extremist nature— reports the press service of the Sevastopol police.
Law enforcement officers established that a 32-year-old man, using his account on one of the social networks, posted information in the public domain for an unlimited number of users aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, “containing calls to prevent the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during a special military operation and insulting statements addressed to the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation«.
Also, in the course of operational activities, employees of the Center for Emergencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB revealed that the offender in social networks called for violence against law enforcement officers and members of their families, as well as for other extremist activities.
With regard to the detainee, an administrative protocol was drawn up on the commission of an administrative offense under part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain international peace and security.” Administrative material sent to court— reports the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
In addition, the investigating authorities initiated a criminal case against the offender under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Public calls for the implementation of extremist activities.» The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
It is emphasized that the defendant fully admitted his guilt in illegal activities.
