An interregional meeting of methodologists took place in Sevastopol

On the eve of the Day of Methodological Service, an interregional gathering of methodologists “The system of methodological support for teachers: vector of development” was held at the School of Engineering in Sevastopol. The event was attended by about 200 people, including deputy heads supervising methodological work, methodologists of educational organizations, chairmen of methodological associations, methodological councils, subject commissions, regional methodologists from Sevastopol, Moscow, DPR, Omsk, Sverdlovsk, Voronezh regions.
The history of methodological services in our country goes back almost two centuries, and all these years their main mission has remained — providing support to the teacher in his professional development and in his daily work. During the meeting, methodologists share their experiences with each other, meet colleagues from other regions and establish connections for further cooperation. Master classes, trainings and workshops in which they participate will help introduce new forms and methods of work into their activities— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the center for continuous professional development of teaching staff at the Institute for Educational Development, Elena Filimonova.
The guest of honor of the meeting, the head of the “Flagships of Education” project of the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities” Boris Solovyov, spoke about the opportunities for career growth through participation in the project.
The main goal of the project is to form a personnel management reserve for the education system. The project is a whole system of opportunities for professional and career growth of teacher-managers, methodologists, and students. Today we are not just talking about the project’s services, but are establishing close contacts with teachers and methodologists in order to improve and expand our service capabilitiessays Boris Solovyov.
The “Flagships of Education” project includes not only a professional competition, but also a number of events aimed at assisting managers in the field of education and teachers in their personal and career development, and also creates new tools for involving students in teaching specialties.
Last year, 170 applications were submitted from Sevastopol residents for the “Flagships of Education” competition, 3 teachers made it to the finals. Sevastopol was represented by Nadezhda Protasova — director of the Balaklava House of Children and Youth Creativity, Alena Nikitinskaya — teacher of the Cossack Bay educational center, Mikhail Dorokhov — senior teacher of the department of military-political work of the P.S. Nakhimov ChVVMU. Mikhail Dorokhov became one of the 10 winners of the competition and entered the personnel reserve of Russian managers in the education system.
