An inventive swindler was convicted in Feodosia
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The prosecutor’s office of the city of Feodosia supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a local resident. He was found guilty under CC. 2, 3 tbsp. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (appropriation of entrusted property), part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). The sentence is suspended. Definitely, the judges marveled at the ingenuity of the Crimean, who seemed to have “rented” someone else’s car, but “turned” the car… into two… of his own cars and… adding another car to it.
The court found that the accused, through an Internet resource that provides advertising services, found a car that he rented from the victim. For the right to use the vehicle, the man paid 5 thousand rubles instead of the promised 20 thousand rubles. The convict had no intention of fulfilling his obligations. The convicted person exchanged the rented vehicle for 2 cars belonging to another person. Also, a resident of Feodosia received a car for free use from another victim, which he gave to a third party to pay off his debts— reported the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
During the consideration of the criminal case, the defendant fully admitted his guilt and compensated for the damage caused. The court agreed with the opinion of the state prosecutor about the guilt of the convict and sentenced the man to 2 years of suspended imprisonment.
