An open “Numbers Lesson” was held for Sevastopol schoolchildren

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Today, the Department of Digital Development held an open “Numbers Lesson” for students in grade 11-A of the ECOTECH+ school. Topic of the lesson: “Cloud technologies: in search of the snow leopard.”

During the lesson, the guys discussed how artificial intelligence recognizes and classifies images, completed a practical task on training a neural network to recognize toy animals, and completed a simulator on building a cloud digital service for searching for snow leopards using images from camera traps. At the end of the lesson, students received certificates.

Today’s numbers lesson showed how much the kids are interested in the world of digital technology. They are well versed in cloud technology issues and actively participated in the discussion of the topic. To date, young residents of Sevastopol have completed the current “Numbers Lesson” more than 6.5 thousand times. Have time to pass too! — commented Deputy Head of the Department of Digital Development Angelina Burovtsova.

The lesson was based on a real Yandex Cloud project for the Sailyugem National Park: the population of Red Book snow leopards is studied using cloud services and neural networks.
