Analysts Tutu and ATOL found out where Russians prefer to relax in the summer and how much travel goods cost

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Analysts of ATOL and travel service Tutu found out how much the goods necessary for the trip cost and where Russians prefer to relax this summer. In June, the average cost of a set needed for a vacation is 5,103 rubles, which is 1.5% more expensive than a year earlier. The basic set consists of a bottle for water, an external battery, creams for and against sunburn, slates and a beach towel. The majority (88%) of independent air travelers from Russia prefer to rest within the country. Only 9% of issued air tickets are for neighboring countries, and the remaining 3% in total — for non-CIS countries and Europe.

The most expensive item in the travel kit was an external battery, which can be purchased on average for 1408 rubles, which is 9% more expensive compared to the cost in June 2022. Russians can buy slates for 935 rubles, sunscreen for 781 rubles, a beach towel for 625 rubles, and sunscreen for 580 rubles. The only item in the bundle that has become 6% cheaper on average is a water bottle. Russians can buy it in the store for 489 rubles.

Fans of relaxing on the water will pay 660 rubles for a new air mattress for swimming, and 622 rubles for a large inflatable ring. But Russians who want to dive in a pond with a mask or goggles can purchase them for an average of 952 and 763 rubles, respectively. It is expected that with the approach of summer, the demand for a group of products for swimming has been steadily growing. So, for example, the number of units sold in May increased by 17% compared to April, and in June (as of 20.06) it almost reached the levels of May.

For tickets to neighboring countries they pay an average of 29,373 rubles round-trip, to non-CIS countries — 51,764 rubles round-trip, to Europe — 84,694 rubles round-trip.

Moscow (16% of issued tickets), Sochi (15%) and St. Petersburg (9.3%) are in the highest demand among domestic air destinations this summer. Slightly fewer tourists go to Kaliningrad (4%), Mineralnye Vody (3%), Yekaterinburg (2.2%), Makhachkala (2.1%), Novosibirsk (2%), Krasnoyarsk (1.7%) and Ufa ( 1.6%).

Of the foreign destinations, the countries of the near abroad are in the lead. Among the most popular countries for flights are Azerbaijan (15%), Uzbekistan (14%), Armenia (12%), Turkey (12%) and Kyrgyzstan (11%). Also among the leaders among independent travelers are Tajikistan (9%), Kazakhstan (6%), Belarus (6%), Morocco (2%) and Georgia (1%).
