Anastasia Tyunina from Sevastopol wins bronze at European Boxing Championships among girls

Anastasia Tyunina from Sevastopol became the bronze medalist of the European Boxing Championship among girls aged 15-16. The competition, in which the strongest were also determined among young men of the same age, was held from June 22 to 30 in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Sarajevo.

Anastasia Tyunina climbed to the podium in the weight category up to 46 kg. In the 1/8 finals, our countrywoman won over the Italian Michela Guglielmon, in the quarterfinals – over Azra Cetin from Turkey, and in the semifinals, with scandalous judging, she lost to the Englishwoman Lily Bassett. Anastasia is a pupil of SShOR No. 4, trains under the guidance of her father Alexander Tyunin— notes «Crimean Sport».

In total, Russian athletes won 22 medals at these competitions – 16 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze, taking first place in the overall team standings.
