Lives saved and fire extinguished. On March 21, at 13:29, the operational duty shift of the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol received a message that smoke was coming from the window of an apartment building along Lotsmanskaya Street.
Upon arrival, it was established that a fire was taking place in an apartment on the fourth floor, and a man was asking for help on the balcony. The boom of the ladder was immediately raised, the man was helped down and handed over to the medical team for examination — he did not need hospitalization. Having formed 2 gas and smoke protection links, the Ongeborists entered the room and submitted 2 barrels for extinguishing. In parallel, the evacuation of residents of neighboring apartments was carried out. 5 people were taken out into the fresh air. When the lives of people were no longer in danger, the employees of the emergency department began to rescue pets. So, a cat and a cage with a parrot were taken out of the smoke. Pets were handed over to the owners. Thanks to the competent actions of the firefighters, the flame was localized in the shortest possible time, open burning was eliminated. The fire was completely extinguished at 14:40. Its area was 15 square meters— noted in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol.
No dead, no injured. The causes and circumstances of the incident are established. In total, 24 personnel and 6 pieces of equipment worked on the spot from the EMERCOM of Russia.
