CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Evpatoria, during the daytime, traffic police stopped a Cadillac Escalade driven by a 38-year-old citizen. When checking documents, state traffic inspectors paid attention to the driver’s condition: by all external signs, he was intoxicated.

The police asked the driver to go into the patrol car to draw up a report, where the citizen persistently offered traffic police officers a monetary reward of 500 euros for failure to bring him to administrative responsibility. The driver was repeatedly informed that his actions were illegal and subject to criminal liability, but he ignored the warning and left the money in the company car— the details of the case were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

For further investigation, an investigative team was called to the scene and recorded the fact of an attempt to bribe traffic police inspectors.

State Traffic Inspectorate officers removed the man from driving and offered to undergo an examination, which he refused.

When checking the databases of the State Traffic Inspectorate, it turned out that the offender had previously been convicted three times of driving while intoxicated under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, I did not receive a driver’s license.

Protocols were drawn up against the driver under Part 1 of Art. 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a driver who does not have a driving license), part 2 of Art. 12.37 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Non-compliance with the requirements for compulsory insurance of compulsory motor liability insurance), under Part 1 of Art. 12.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle not registered in the prescribed manner), the license plates and registration certificate of the vehicle were confiscated, the vehicle was placed in a temporary detention parking lot.

The driver will have to pay fines totaling more than 15 thousand rubles.

The materials collected by the police officers were sent to the investigative authorities for making a procedural decision.
