A 23-year-old resident of Armyansk will spend four years of his young life in a maximum security colony. This is all due to an unhealthy craving for the illegal sale of narcotic drugs. Despite the defendant’s partial admission of guilt in the incriminated crime, the Armenian City Court considered his guilt proven.

The preliminary investigation established and was confirmed in court that on February 12, 2023. in the evening, a local resident on the platform of the Armyansk railway station of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Crimean Railway» illegally sold for money in the amount of 700 rubles a white powdery substance, located in a paper parcel, weighing 0.07 g. The powdery substance, according to the expert’s conclusion, contains α-pyrrolidinovalerophenone, which is a derivative of the narcotic drug N-methylephedron. Despite the position of the defendant, the court, taking into account information about his personality, who had previously served a sentence for a similar crime, found the young Crimean guilty under Part 1 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and sentenced him to punishment for his act.— reported the press service of the court.

The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed in accordance with the procedure established by law.
