And there are watermelons! Volunteers continue to help military personnel and civilians at the Crimean checkpoint “Chongar”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
To feed, give an opportunity to rest, help if you feel unwell — the volunteer tents on the Crimean side of the Chongar checkpoint have been open to our military and civilians for a year and a half now. This year, completely unexpectedly for the volunteers themselves, their own watermelons grew near the volunteer tents.
From the very beginning of the Northern Military District, caring people came here at the call of their hearts to help refugees from Ukraine on the administrative border of Crimea. After the inclusion of new regions into the Russian Federation, volunteers will stay and help primarily the military, as well as elderly citizens and simply anyone who needs this help, especially during temporary evacuations from the checkpoint due to threats of arrival. Residents of Crimea helped in arranging tents and waiting areas as part of the project “People’s Front. Everything for victory!
And this year, quite by accident, a small harvest of watermelons began to appear here from ordinary fallen seeds.
Just a few bones hit us, we didn’t even immediately see that we had these sunny striped balls. And now we show it to everyone with pride. All living things reach out to the sun, to goodness, and here we have incredible energy of mutual support and the true Russian spiritvolunteers share.
The entire harvest will be served to military and civilians in the tent city while they wait and rest.
