In January 2025, the demand for a mortgage fell by almost 40% compared to the same period of 2024, said TASS The deputy head of the mortgage department of the federal company Taja Tatyana Reshetnikova. In January, in the secondary market, the number of mortgage applications compared to December 2024 decreased by 17%.

In the suburban real estate market, the number of applications for the issuance of a mortgage per month increased 6.4%. At the same time, over the year in the suburban market, the number of applications fell by 64%. In the secondary market, the annual decline was 61%, in the primary — 46%.
