“And you went to the top…” “Climbers” were rescued in the mountains of Crimea

The weekend of the Crimean mountain rescuers was held under the motto “Cherchez la femme”, in the sense that they had to rescue representatives of the fair sex who stubbornly rushed to the mountains.
On Saturday, at 14:30, the rescue service received information that on Yaila Orta-Syrt, in the area of the monument to the partisan airfield “Malaya Ploshchadka,” a woman from a tourist group injured her arm. Due to injury, he cannot continue moving independently. Rescuers’ assistance is required in evacuating the mountain-forest zone. Specialists from the Simferopol emergency rescue team “CRIMEA-SPAS” headed to the scene of the incident.
Upon arrival at the call site, rescuers provided the woman with first aid by immobilizing the injured limb using a medical scarf and bandages. After which, employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS» took the citizen to a medical facility in an official car— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Yesterday, at 18:35, the rescue service received information that while descending from Mount Boyka, another woman suffered a leg injury. She cannot continue moving on her own; she needs the help of rescuers to evacuate her from the mountainous and forested area.
4 people from the duty shift of the Bakhchisarai emergency rescue team “CRIMEA-SPAS”, as well as employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, went to the search and rescue area.
Upon arrival at the Arman-Kaya rock, rescuers moved on foot to the suspected location of the victim. As a result, the woman was discovered on the northwestern slope of Mount Boyka. Rescuers provided first aid to her, putting a splint on her injured limb, and transported her on a stretcher along a difficult mountain road to a service vehicle. Then the victim was taken to the emergency room of Bakhchisarai— said the emergency department.
The entire rescue operation took about 4 hours. The work was complicated by difficult mountainous terrain and darkness.
