Anna Anokhina: «You can check the reliability of the extract from the USRN using the QR code indicated on it»

Since March 1, 2023, personal data on real estate owners have become unavailable for third parties. This innovation has become one of the ways to protect the rights of applicants and verify the information contained in the USRN.

When planning the purchase of real estate, a potential buyer can request an actual extract from the USRN from the seller. Then, having scanned the QR code located in the upper right corner of the document, using a smartphone, you can automatically go to the official website of the Rosreestr and check the authenticity of the information.

The interested person to whom the extract with the QR code has been transmitted may make sure that the document was officially issued and the seller’s information corresponds to the data contained in the register.

As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, this simple and convenient digital tool can help citizens avoid potential risks in real estate transactions.
