Another accomplice of scammers under the scheme «Your relative got into an accident» was detained in Crimea «

The Crimean police officers were detained by an 18-year-old resident of the Krasnogvardeisky district, who decided to work out with a courier with telephone scammers.
The attackers who were outside the country acted remotely, according to a long -developed scheme: they called pensioners, impersoning law enforcement officials, and reported that their relatives were in an accident and urgently needed help. First, the “employer” sent a young man to an elderly man to Nizhnyaya district, where he took more than 500 thousand rubles for “treatment” of the victims in the road accident, which was allegedly arranged by his daughter. On the same day, the courier arrived in Simferopol district to an 87-year-old woman. The pensioner transferred more than 100 thousand rubles to “save” her daughter from criminal prosecution for the perfect accident. All the money received in an illegal way, the accomplice of the scammers transferred through the ATM to the specified account. The remuneration for the work done was promised to pay him later. The police managed to install and detain the attacker the next day,-voiced the details of history in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Crimea.
Operational-search measures were carried out by employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea, the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Nizhnyorsky district together with colleagues from the Simferopol district.
On the facts of fraud, criminal cases have been instituted on the grounds of the corpus delicti under Part 2 and part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum punishment that may threaten according to the sanction of the article is imprisonment for up to six years.
The suspect was chosen by a preventive measure in the form of a non -departure subscription.
