Another air provocation over the Black Sea. US Air Force drones «distinguished»

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, today an air incident was recorded over the Black Sea, not far from the coast of Crimea — two Russian fighter jets were raised to intercept US Air Force drones.

On August 28, over the southwestern part of the Black Sea, the means of controlling the airspace of the Russian Aerospace Forces recorded a flight of unmanned aerial vehicles of the US Air Force MQ-9 «Reaper» and RQ-4 «Global Hawk» in the direction of the State Border of the Russian Federation, carrying out aerial reconnaissance in region of the Crimean peninsula.

In order to prevent a possible violation of the State Border of the Russian Federation and counteract the conduct of electronic intelligence UAVs, two Russian fighters from the air defense forces on duty were raised. As a result of the actions of the air defense forces on duty, reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles of the US Air Force changed their flight direction and left the air reconnaissance areassays in message Russian military department.

Violation of the state border of the Russian Federation was not allowed, our pilots acted within the framework of international protocols.

It should be noted that NATO and American drones “work” over the Black Sea almost daily, sometimes making attempts to get close to the airspace of our country.
