Another batch of BMP-3s went to Russian troops
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Kurganmashzavod of the High-Precision Complexes holding company of the Rostec State Corporation delivered a new batch of BMP-3 to the troops. The vehicles received standard additional protection kits.
BMP-3s are equipped with anti-cumulative grilles, armored screens, as well as “Capes” – kits to reduce visibility in the thermal and radar spectrum. They are made of synthetic fire-resistant material and make it difficult to detect equipment using observation devices, such as thermal imagers. In addition, the “troikas” are equipped with upper hemisphere protection kits. The solutions increased the combat survivability of the BMP-3.
Rostec produces a wide range of modern armored vehicles. These are main battle tanks, self-propelled artillery guns and infantry fighting vehicles. Today, Kurganmashzavod handed over to the Ministry of Defense another batch of BMP-3 with standard additional protection kits. This technique is especially in demand in the North-West region. In addition to the supply of new vehicles, Kurganmashzavod is significantly ahead of schedule for the overhaul of the BMP-3, as well as the BMD-4M landing vehicles. Fulfillment of state defense orders is a priority task for us, — said industrial director of the complex of conventional weapons, ammunition and special chemicals of Rostec Bekhan Ozdoev.
