The crews of the patrol ship «Ladny» and the small anti-submarine ship «Kasimov» of the Black Sea Fleet conducted an exercise to search for and detect a submarine.
The exercise was held at sea ranges in the Black Sea as part of a control check on the readiness of ships to perform tasks at sea. The role of the imaginary enemy was performed by the crew of one of the Black Sea Fleet submarines. During the exercise, tactics were practiced for the continuous pursuit of a submarine and its destruction with torpedo weapons and rocket bombs.— the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
It is emphasized that along with anti-submarine tasks, the crews of the ships worked out the elements of naval combat with anti-aircraft missile firing at a parachute target, anti-aircraft missile firing at a small sea target, artillery firing at air and sea targets, as well as at a floating mine.
At the final stage of the exercise, the crews performed a set of anti-sabotage exercises, having worked out various options for grenade throwing, hitting underwater saboteurs from a grenade launcher according to the sonar data, and firing from underwater pistols and machine guns at floating and underwater targets.
