April 11 is the Constitution Day of the Republic of Crimea. Crimeans will receive a gift

On the Constitution Day of Crimea, residents of the republic will be presented with a printed edition of the document. The Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea printed 3,000 copies. By April 11, 2023, they will be handed over to the administrations of municipalities in order to carry out the action.

Recall that April 11 is an official holiday in Crimea — the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Crimea. It was on this day in 2014 that the State Council of the Republic of Crimea adopted the basic law of the subject — the Constitution, and the next day the text of the document was published in the media and entered into force from the moment of promulgation. The adoption of this document completed the process of Crimea joining Russia at the legislative level.

Reference: In accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation, each subject has a fundamental law. For the republics, this is the Constitution, for other subjects, the Charter. The Crimean Constitution is structured and created by analogy with the Main Law of the Russian Federation. It contains a preamble and 9 chapters of the main part, as well as a final chapter, which defines the «Transitional Provisions». The first 10 chapters go in turn, corresponding to the same order that is used in the Constitution of the Russian Federation. They describe the basic principles of the life of the subject of the Russian Federation and its population.
