April 18 is Fedulov's day. Open the windows wide!

Fedulov’s day, people believed, was the final farewell to winter. From this day onwards the weather was usually warm. They said: “Fedul came — a warm wind blew, opened the windows, heated the hut without firewood.”
This day was also called Fedula the anemone, Fedora, Fedora the anemone, Fedul the anemone. The main tradition of the current 24 hours: they opened the windows wide and uttered special spells, thereby driving out putrefactive winds and evil spirits.
