It was said that Fotini is a healer and helps to fight fever. It is known that at one time she turned many people into faith in Christ, for which she was dropped into a well. And they believed that the soul of Fotinya remained in the well. On April 2, special prayers served in the church. They wrote a troparium on paper, tied a note in a rag, which the patient should have been worn on his neck for 3 days. After that, you need to swallow the note or first burn it and eat ash.

The Christian Church recalls the holy martyr Fotinya
The Holy Martyr Fotin was the same Samaritan woman with whom the Savior was talking at the Jacobv well. During the time of Emperor Nero (54-68), who showed extreme cruelty in the fight against Christianity, Holy Fotin lived in Carthage with her youngest son Josia and there was a fearlessly preached the gospel. Her eldest son Victor bravely fought in the Roman troops against the barbarians and was appointed military leader to the city of Attaly (Malaya Asia) for his merits.
The mayor of Attaly Sevastian, when meeting with St. Victor, advised him to obey the will of the emperor and write to his mother and brother so that they would not preach Christ openly. Saint Victor refused, and when Sevastian warned him of the upcoming disasters, he felt acute pain in his eyes, changed his face and numb.
He lay a blind man for three days, without saying a word, and on the fourth day he confessed Christ. Soon he was baptized and immediately transmitted.
Rumors of what happened reached Nero, and he ordered Christians to bring him to the court in Rome. Then the Lord Himself appeared to confessors and encouraged them. Holy Fotin, notified by the Savior of the upcoming suffering,, accompanied by several Christians, went from Carthage to Rome and joined the confessors.
In Rome, the emperor ordered the saints to bring to him and asked them whether they really believe in Christ. All confessors resolutely refused to renounce the Savior. After the torture, Nero ordered the saints Sevastian, Fotin and Josia to blind and enclose in prison, and the holy patio with its five sisters — Anastasia, photo, patio, Paraskeva and Kiriakia — send to the imperial palace under the supervision of the daughter of Nero Domnina. But St. Fotin turned to Christ Domnin and all her slaves, who accepted holy baptism.
Three years have passed …
Nero sent to prison for one of his servants who were in conclusion. The sent informed him that the saints Sevastian, Fotin and Josias, who were blinded, were completely healthy, and they are constantly visited by people who are listening to their preaching. The dungeon itself turned into a bright and fragrant place where God is glorified. Nero again ordered the martyrs to torture, but the angel of the Lord freed and healed them.
In impotent rage, Nero ordered to tear the skin from the holy photown and throw the martyr into the well, the rest of the martyrs were executed.
The holy patron was pulled out of the well and imprisoned for 20 days. After that, Nero called her to her and asked if she would submit now and whether he would sacrifice the idols. Holy Fotin spat the emperor in the face and, laughing at him, said: “The worst blind man, a lost and crazy man! Do you really consider me so unreasonable that I agree to renounce the lord of my Christ and make a sacrifice like you blind idols?! ”
Hearing such words, Nero again ordered the martyr to throw the martyr into the well, where she betrayed her spirit to the Lord.
