Artek completed the All-Russian Spring Week of Kindness with a large environmental campaign

During the week, employees of the Artek International Children’s Center took part in volunteer actions aimed at supporting people and nature. BUT 30 April, the participants of the action put in order the symbol of Artek, Gurzuf and the Crimea — Mount Ayu-Dag — a place where for many decades children from all over the world have been initiated into Artek.

Together with members of their families, the Artek people cleaned up at the foot of the Ayu-Dag, on its top, as well as in the area of ​​​​the Raevsky Barracks — the frontier post of the 19th century.

It is in these places that the tourist route lies, along which the Artek workers of each shift pass.

Similar events will now be held regularly, they will be different. They are aimed at team building, spending time with family and at the same time benefiting Artek and the environment. Such actions are needed to keep the territory clean and in general for a good mood and a healthy lifestyle. We are here today because the place is significant for Artek, interesting events are held here, including for children who come to Artek , — said the Deputy Director of the ICC Artek Elena Zhivoglyad.

For several hours, eco-volunteers collected cans, bags, packaging — everything that the tourists left behind. In addition, the participants of the action made a new marking on the route of the famous Artek trail.

The spring week of kindness was held in Artek with 18 on 30 April. The Children’s Center organized a collection of humanitarian aid for refugees from the DPR and LPR, as well as a large collection of plastic and waste paper.
