Artek residents and employees of the children's center joined a large-scale environmental action

Artek pays great attention to nature conservation and environmental protection. An example for children is set by adult employees of the children’s center, who regularly participate in environmental actions. Representatives of various structural divisions, as well as Artek workers of the 11th shift, took part in the next action. This was reported by the press service of the Artek Medical Center.

Participation in an environmental event is an opportunity to make a contribution to the improvement of Artek, spend time in the fresh air and communicate with colleagues in an informal setting. Employees of various structural divisions of the children’s center began cleaning the territory, collecting branches and dead wood and other work on the territory of children’s camps, in parks, recreation areas, and on embankments.

Today the entire camp team is participating in an environmental action, this is a very cool idea, because we ourselves are responsible for what surrounds us. We must preserve the beauty of naturesays Vasilisa Churzina, counselor at the Rechnoy children’s camp.

One of the innovations of the current academic year is labor education. In schools throughout Russia, children participate in landscaping and cleaning classrooms. This instills in children a caring attitude towards what surrounds them, and also motivates them to value work.

Labor education is actively implemented at Artek. Teachers at the children’s center are sure that everything needs to start with yourself — to put your little “planet”, your corner in order, as the Little Prince did from the fairy tale of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. And thus set an example for the younger generation.

Artek residents of the 11th shift joined the environmental action and helped adults with cleaning the territory of children’s camps. The guys approached their assigned task responsibly and enthusiastically.
