On the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation, the festival “Russia – a sports power” started at the Artek International Children’s Center. The sports festival at the children’s center is a celebration of a healthy lifestyle, team victories and personal achievements. Young athletes demonstrated their skills in floorball, FIFA 2023 e-sports, darts, and swimming.
On other days of the festival there will also be competitions in air rifle shooting and table tennis. The most dexterous, fast, and hardy participants earned the respect of their peers and became owners of Artek awards. The young athletes dedicated their records to the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation.
On the 14th shift “WE are more than ME!” One of the main sporting events was the sports festival “Russia – a sports power”. Teams from all Artek children’s camps take part in the competitions that take place at the Sports Palace. The competition showed the physical fitness of the participants, the ability to work in a team and filled them with a good mood.
Today is the first day of the sports festival, which includes all-Artek floorball and e-sports competitions. It is important to hold such competitions for children so that they can get acquainted with different sports. Thanks to such sporting events, children are more attracted to an active lifestyle and train endurance skills— said the instructor of the Morskoy children’s camp, volleyball coach Tatyana Dragunskaya.
Regular exercise improves health, increases endurance and resistance to overload, and develops organization and willpower. At the competitions, Artek residents demonstrated their acquired sports skills and received an objective assessment of the level of their achievements. Winning competitions became the best motivation to continue sports activities.
According to Artek residents, the sports festival is not only a sports competition. The event made it possible to see that moving forward is the path to victory. The guys believe that Constitution Day is a significant holiday for the whole country, and through their participation in the competition they came out in support of the fundamental Law of our country and showed how important this holiday is for all people.
