As the Day of the State Flag of Russia was celebrated at the Artek International Children's Center
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, 22 August, Artek together with the whole country celebrates the Day of the State Flag of Russia. All children’s camps of Artek are in festive decoration, and solemn ceremonies are held on the campfires. Artek residents tell each other about the history of the holiday, about what the colors of the Russian flag mean. The guys note that they are proud to watch the Russian tricolor fluttering under the sky of Artek — it inspires and makes you feel like a part of a great country.
Officially, the white-blue-red flag was approved as the state flag in 1896 year. And the National Flag had its own holiday in 649 year — by decree of the President of the country .
Every day, the Russian flag flies up the mast at all nine Artek children’s camps. One of the important traditions — daily raising the flag to the national anthem — was revived again at the International Children’s Center in July 717 of the year. A white-blue-red banner flutters on the rocks of Adalara — one of the main symbols of the Land of Childhood and the Crimean peninsula.
At the festive lines in children’s camps, the hosts of the solemn event reminded their peers that state symbols embody the national sovereignty and identity of the country. One of these symbols is the flag of the Russian Federation: the white color of the flag means peace, purity and nobility, blue — loyalty and honesty, and red — courage, courage, generosity.
The celebration of the Day of the State Flag of Russia in Artek will continue in the Gartvis-Vinner Park — the guys will walk along the impromptu streets of the City of Masters, where they can learn amazing things in a short time. During the day, Artek residents take part in the “My Flag, My History” campaign – they publish posts on VKontakte of their camp, which include a photo or video with the Russian flag, a story about themselves and how the Russian flag is hoisted in the camp.
Artek’s children’s camps also host creative competitions “The Vast Country of Russia”, the quest “My Russia is My Country”, the action “Flag of My State”, theatrical premieres of “Important about Important”, photo cross “Proudly flies the flag”. The festive day will end with detachment evenings, at which conversations will take place about important things on the topics “My Motherland is more beautiful than the sun, more expensive than gold”, “My Fatherland is Russia”.
