At the Crimean Youth Theater — the premiere of the play «Puss in Boots»
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The fourth premiere in a row at the Crimean Youth Theater was accompanied by rain, which is considered a good omen. On Saturday, the warm and cozy hall of the theater welcomed guests to open the door to a new fairy tale.
The famous work of Charles Perrault “Puss in Boots” was translated from French and written by Andrey Permyakov, the play was directed by Anastasia Permyakova. We have already enjoyed this author-director tandem in the play “The Princess, the Knight and the Dragon” and here is another work that is again winning the hearts of the audience.
With the magnificence of a Chartez cat, Dmitry Kern bursts into the hall to tell an amazing story. The cat introduces us to his assistants (Alena Lukashevich, Elena Petrova, Daria Pushina, Vladislav Shamrin), who will light up the entire performance on stage with bright songs and dances. Smart, cunning, dexterous Puss in Boots is trying to give his owner Pierre de Carabas (Alexander Kolpakov) a better life by presenting gifts to the King (Dmitry Afinogenov) and the Princess (Maria Shenfeld). The impoverished kingdom is grateful for such gifts and happily welcomes the educated Cat. The story gains momentum when the Princess and the King, accompanied by the cheerful and executive captain (Roman Ryzhov) and lieutenant (Dmitry Shershov) of the royal guard, set off on a journey. There the fateful meeting of the Princess and the Marquis will take place, who himself will be amazed by the resourcefulness of his Cat. Closer to the finale, the famous Ogre (Sergei Novikov) will appear. His name was written incorrectly in the passport office, and he became Girard, with the letter “I,” which the Ogre, who looks very much like a chansonnier, will sadly remember. Having won here too, Puss in Boots meets the owner and pushes him to propose marriage to the Princess. Their romantic song touched the audience so much that spectators started lighting flashlights on their phones. The music for the performance was created by Pavel Gavronov, lyrics by Andrey Permyakov, each song sounds like a hit that you want to listen to again and againsay the press service of the Crimean Youth Theater.
The production designer for the performance was Sergei Permyakov. Powerful scenery creates a whole fairy-tale world on the small stage of the Crimean Youth Theater. Andrei Kostyuchenkov worked on the magic of light, who came from Moscow to Yevpatoria especially for the production.
According to tradition, after the premiere, the theater organizes a drawing; a poster of the performance with autographs was received by spectator Evgenia, who came on vacation from the capital of Russia.
The new, cheerful, playful, musical performance will be performed 5 more times in the summer, and in September, in the new theater season, shows will resume.
